When I was driving recently, a new pet peeve popped up. An ambulance was speeding by, so like any responsible driver I pulled over. Only to be passed by the ambulance and 2 more regular cars taking advantage of the open lane!  I recently found out that there is a whole community out there of solo board gamers. This is not a new concept, people have always played board games solo, but usually you have to change the rules, and something is lost in translation when you do. Apparently, there are board games created with solo gamers in mind. They are designed for 1+ players, allowing for a single player to get the full experience of the plot, characters and there is no need to bend the rules. Apparently, having a destination Bachelorette get-away is a big thing now. It's a popular vacay that's usually a week long, involving the bridesmaids and the bride. How come? It seems like that is super expensive and totally unnecessary! And some brides will cut you out of the wedding if you don't attend the bachelorette!  Although we all knew it was inevitable, I think for many it's still sad news to hear that Queen Elizabeth II has died. The topic of death is never easy, so hers is also difficult for many of her subjects and her family. However, being that the UK has a constitutional Monarchy, the death of a Queen means the ascension of a King. King Charles III to be exact. Being American, I don't know if I support a monarchy as an institution, but as a military veteran, I am drawn to the pomp and circumstance of it all. What do you think? I recently came across a sport I had never heard of, Disc Golf. It's different and interesting, and apparently it's been around for a long time. There is a pastor in NY who made recent headlines because he was robbed of $1 Million in jewelry during a live streaming sermon. Now, this brings up all kinds of questions, but the biggest one for me is, how did he acquire a million dollars in jewelry in the first place?? And do they have openings in his church because maybe I am working in the wrong profession! In this episode I discuss why I feel like everything isn't quite what it seems in this case. Something just doesn't make a whole lot of sense, and this Pastor, Lamor Whitehead, seems to have trouble trailing behind him! It seems that more than two years into the pandemic, the debate on whether or not to wear a mask is still going strong. A child refused to wear a mask by telling their principal "my body, my choice."
