There is a pastor in NY who made recent headlines because he was robbed of $1 Million in jewelry during a live streaming sermon. Now, this brings up all kinds of questions, but the biggest one for me is, how did he acquire a million dollars in jewelry in the first place?? And do they have openings in his church because maybe I am working in the wrong profession! In this episode I discuss why I feel like everything isn't quite what it seems in this case. Something just doesn't make a whole lot of sense, and this Pastor, Lamor Whitehead, seems to have trouble trailing behind him! It seems that more than two years into the pandemic, the debate on whether or not to wear a mask is still going strong. A child refused to wear a mask by telling their principal "my body, my choice." There are a lot of things, healthy and unhealthy that people can get addicted to. I'm not even gonna talk about Pepsi! But the one thing I can't seem to get enough of is True Crime. I have loved true crime stories for years! It started in Elementary school, and still today I can be found watching a documentary about a killer or reading a book about a scamming MLM company. The United States Supreme Court recently made a ruling that overturned Roe v. Wade, which had previously given women the right to abortion, and now has left it up to states to decide. This has resulted in several states banning abortions immediately. As you can imagine protests have been happening across the country. But they have also been happening outside the homes of the Supreme Court Justices. While some may feel this is justified, I have to ask, does this cross the line? Are people's homes out of bounds? In this episode I discuss this, and my feelings about how far is too far when it comes to protesting. Every year in NYC, thousands of middle school and junior high school studends prepare to apply to their favorite high schools. Based on their academic performance, they were usually pretty confident in where that would be. Well, not anymore. In an ill-fated attempt to make high school admissions more diverse, students were divided up into a lottery system that has confused and upset many. Students who have spent years getting the highest grades and extra-curricular achievements so they could attend the best schools in the city, are now at the mercy of a random algorithm.
