 I thought it would be fun to go on Buzzfeed and complete one of their many quizzes. This time I chose one where everyone votes on whether they prefer the original movie or its sequel. I was surprised by some results but for the most part I think I was vindicated! There's a lot you can say about a sequel to a movie, but for me I mostly say, No Thank You! Happy New Year! Welcome to 2023! A year has passed by so fast, but now it's time to look forward to what is coming. I didn't make any resolutions per se, but I do have some things I'd like to accomplish: getting into shape, new topics for this podcast, and generally living life and being happy!  So recently, WNBA star Brittney Griner was released from a Russian prison after being held for 9-10 months. She was exchanged in a prisoner swap for a notorious arms dealer. Now the whole situation has me asking questions? I mean, is this all really a big deal? Or is it just an example of someone being released from prison, which happens everyday here in the U.S. In this episode I talk about some of the things in this story that have me scratching my head. Maybe you'll agree, maybe you won't. But I bet you'll have an opinion!

So this past weekend I attended the Pax Unplugged convention. I was all about tabletop games, hence the unplugged. I have never been to one of these, and I have to say I was impressed! And really, whats better than walking down aisle after aisle of games! It was like the good ol' days of Toys R Us (I feel a tear forming). Sit back and relax while I tell you all about my experience. I have a new pet peeve-the U.S. Postal Service! So over the last few years it seems that we receive our mail less often, packages and letters go missing, and a general mess is left in our mailrooms? If you can relate then this episode is for you! There doesn't seem to be a reason, other than the worker shortages of the pandemic in general, but it's still getting on my nerves.  Millions of people are subscribing to streaming services in order to cut ties with more expensive cable and satellite TV.  Only, now streaming services have begun to increase their prices as well. It seems like these days more and more people can't help but behave badly. Especially on airplanes! Now we all know that we should display a certain etiquette when flying, and that includes sitting in your assigned seats. Except, for some people it seems that they feel entitled to sit in YOUR seat! In this episode I talk about the attitude that some people give off on airplanes when you refuse to switch seats with them. You may have encountered this very scenario yourself! There is an ongoing trend in Hollywood to remake successful movies from years past. Sometimes this turns out to be a surefire hit, others a total bomb. It happens with TV shows as well. Is there a problem in Hollywood, where no one has any original ideas anymore? I have to question why some of these movies were made in the first place.
