So this past weekend I attended the Pax Unplugged convention. I was all about tabletop games, hence the unplugged. I have never been to one of these, and I have to say I was impressed! I have a new pet peeve-the U.S. Postal Service! So over the last few years it seems that we receive our mail less often, packages and letters go missing, and a general mess is left in our mailrooms?  Millions of people are subscribing to streaming services in order to cut ties with more expensive cable and satellite TV.  Only, now streaming services have begun to increase their prices as well. It seems like these days more and more people can't help but behave badly. Especially on airplanes! Now we all know that we should display a certain etiquette when flying, and that includes sitting in your assigned seats. Except, for some people it seems that they feel entitled to sit in YOUR seat! There is an ongoing trend in Hollywood to remake successful movies from years past. Sometimes this turns out to be a surefire hit, others a total bomb. It happens with TV shows as well. Is there a problem in Hollywood, where no one has any original ideas anymore? I have to question why some of these movies were made in the first place. For all you daredevils out there, you might be bummed to find out that in some states you will not be allowed to drive blindfolded! Sorry to burst your bubbles! In fact, there are a whole bunch of crazy laws that you can find in America. In this episode I share a few of them that I found on the internet.  I recently got my car inspected at the same shop I usually go to for repairs, inspections and oil changes. Last year at this time I was told I needed about $800 worth of work to be done, but it wasn't necessary to pass inspection. This time around there wasn't a mention about any of it! Has this happened to you? Car shops seem to be finding ways to get every extra dollar out of our pockets, and we seem to fall for it! Why does that happen? There was a recent article explaining how a Wendy's employee of more than 20 years, who happened to have Down's Syndrome, was unceremoniously fired by a manager because she wanted the employee to do additional duties that he couldn't do. So basically, a good, reliable worker lost his job because of his disability. Now maybe that's an oversimplification, but I can tell you that this whole situation reeks of disrespect, poor judgement, and a lack of leadership on the part of the manager. When I was driving recently, a new pet peeve popped up. An ambulance was speeding by, so like any responsible driver I pulled over. Only to be passed by the ambulance and 2 more regular cars taking advantage of the open lane!
