Show Notes-Episode #010

These days vaccines are front page news. With the COVID-19 pandemic raging, millions of people have lined up to get vaccinated. But even with the high numbers of hospitalizations and deaths, millions more have yet to get vaccinated. In this episode I talk about this topic.

When the vaccine was first announced, I was hesitant, as many others were. But as the science backed up the safety of the shots, I felt more comfortable with the idea and got vaccinated when my turn came. Many of you probably feel the same. But I am also sure there are those of you who refuse to get the shot for a variety of reasons. You certainly have the right to make this choice. However, many would argue that the needs of the public outweigh the rights of the individual.

I know this controversial topic has become a political debate. There won’t be much discussion about how Democrats and Republicans have approached the topic. That could certainly be an episode by itself! Instead, I’ll be getting into the anti-vaxxers debate. The COVID-19 vaccination is just the latest, but people have been against vaccines for decades. From the Flu shot to the MMR shot, there has been debate raging over whether or not we should be vaccinating ourselves and our children. And to this day, there still isn’t a definitive answer, either.

Join me as I discuss the how’s and why’s of getting vaccinated a bit. And I’ll ask the question: is it selfish to refuse a vaccination? Whether you think it is or not, listen in on this episode and leave a comment. Tell me how you feel about it and why. I’d really like to know your thoughts, as long as we keep it respectful guys!
